META-TRØNIC, also known as Kaarlo, is a Finnish-Brazilian electronic musician and DJ blending hypnotic deep house, tech house, techno, and indie dance into immersive sets. Rooted in Rio de Janeiro’s underground club/ rave scene and now based in Leipzig (GER), META-TRØNIC crafts mixes that move with intention—dark, layered, and emotionally charged.
My passion for music began at a very early age in an environment where the radio and turntable – with my mother’s over a thousand LPs collection – were always on and loud.
When I was only six, I got a small record player as birthday present and my passion for deejaying started.
”- I used to play pretending I was a DJ doing scratches while listening to my children’s records. Most of them ended up completely destroyed, of course. The needles were always broken and my mom used to go crazy.”
As a Co-founder of Rio Underground Records, I’m an active force in electronic music since the mid-90s building my influences in epic Techno parties and some of the first after-hours to ever happen in Brazil.
My career consolidated , smashing dance floors in countries as Argentina, Germany, Finland, Netherlands, and Brazil, playing on the hottest clubs and massive festivals, where the crowd felt the power of my beat.
META-TRØNIC shared the stage with Christian Smith, Alex Bau, Christian Fischer, Monoroom, Stefano Noferini, PleasureKraft, DJ Hell, among others, and set the pulse in events like the Rio Parade for 300.000 people, Chemical Music Festival, held by Skol Beats (BR), and CCC (ChaosComputerClub – GER), the acclaimed fashion event Rio Fashion Week and the iconic House of Happiness (GER).
